De Bonte Leeuw opened its doors in September 2009. A team of enthusiastic and highly qualified Dutch teachers welcomed more than forty Dutch speaking children to their classrooms.
The mission of De Bonte Leeuw is to maintain and stimulate The Dutch Language and Culture (NTC) of Dutch speaking children in the greater Boston area, and to facilitate an possible return into the Dutch/Belgian Educational system. De Bonte Leeuw does so by providing NTC lessons on Sunday morning from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Dutch School also strives to offer Dutch speaking families a close-knit community where Dutch Language and Culture are central.

Since 2016 we also offer customized Dutch classes to adults, and children who are unable to come to class during our regular hours. See here for details.
De Bonte Leeuw is affiliated and accredited by Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland, an organization appointed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science to stimulate, support and advise Dutch educational institutions abroad.
